At In The Picture we have jobs for everyone, i.e. roles for Actors, (Featured) Extras, Candidates and Audiences to star in movies, television series, musicals, theater productions, commercials, reality and game shows,... The roles vary from a leading role to a bystander and everything in between.
Are you more a silent onlooker, do you like entertainment without you actively participating? Then we have for you several game and talk shows where you can go to as an audience. Registering is FREE, safe and easy!
Actors
Who can become a member
For an Actor or Actress to become a member at In The Picture you must:
- be professionally employed as an Actor or Actress or;
- have been professionally active as an Actor or Actress in the past three years (commencing on the date of this application) or;
- own a diploma of/be a final year student in a qualifying educational institution (formation drama).
Why become a member
As a member of the In The Picture Network, you get an online profile that you can fully customize and keep up-to-date yourself. Using your profile, you can respond to audition or be asked for a specific audition/role. As a member of In The Picture, you are instantly visible for many production companies and broadcasters.

Once registered, the various production companies and broadcasters, who are members of the In The Picture Network, can contact you directly or you can apply for the auditions available to you.
Privacy
The data you provide when you create your profile will not be publicly published on the internet. Only professional clients of In The Picture will be able to see your data. Moreover, they too are bound not to divulge any personal data. You can decide yourself which companies are allowed to view your profile.
(Featured) Extras
Can I be a (Featured) Extra?
Everyone can be a (Featured) Extra! Young, old, large, skinny, tall, short,... You do not need a certain profile, nor do you need any experience. On the set, everything will be explained very clearly by the extras supervisor.
Why register
If you register at In The Picture, you have full control over all the jobs you want to do. All the jobs available to you will appear on your profile and it is up to you to apply for them. You are never obligated to apply for a job. You can register as a (Featured) Extra via this page
Compensation
Most productions have a fee for expenses. The existence of this allowance and its size depend very much on the nature of the production.

Wait time
When you are a (Featured) Extra, you get to the heart of a production. You see up close how a scene is recorded and how the cast and crew do their work. But filming takes a lot of time: after each shot, the camera is moved and the light is adjusted. Make sure you bring something to pass the time.
Clothing
Often, you will be asked to bring your own clothes. The dressing assistant will help you choose a suitable outfit. In certain exceptional cases, clothing will be provided by the production. In these cases, your measurements will be requested.
On the set
Every specific production has its own procedures. However, a number of general methods exist.
When you arrive on the location, you will most often be escorted to the room of the Extras. This is the place where you will assemble every time in between the shoots. When everyone has arrived and when the crew is ready, you will be escorted to the set.
On the set, everyone will be explained what they have to do and where they will have to stand. Remember your actions very carefully, because you will be asked to repeat the same action over and over again. A scene is often shot from various points of view and it would disturb the production if everyone would suddenly be in different positions at a new shot. A shot is often rehearsed a few times and is then shot in several 'takes'.
You can be asked to 'mouth' during the take. You will then have to talk to your fellow Extras without producing any sound. This way, the voices of the actors will be recorded first, and your sound will be added at the time of editing. 'Mouthing' is best done by saying real sentences without producing any sound. Avoid meaningless movements of the mouth: this will look very funny.
During a shoot, there are often a lot of people in a small room. Therefore, silence will be regularly requested, so that the crew will be able to communicate. This request for silence can sound unintentionally 'schoolish'. However, it is the most efficient way to make the experience as pleasant as possible for everyone.
During a take, it is absolutely not permitted to look into the camera. Even if you are very far away from the camera, the viewer will notice it immediately if a person looks into the lens. After 'action', it is best to ignore the camera and the crew as much as possible. Act as 'normal' as possible. Large movements or facial expressions are not recommended.
Audience

You can register to be part of the the Audience of a game or talk show via this page If you only check the box 'Audience', only some contact information is needed to finish your profile.
