All the jobs at In The Picture are only available when you have a profile. So sending us an e-mail with 'I would like to be an extra or act in…' is useless as we can’t help you via e-mail. You can create a profile at In The Picture via this page.
Once you have a fully completed profile, you will see all the available jobs and you can then apply for those you would like to do.
Your data is definitely secure at In The Picture, since we only pass it on to the production companies that are strictly checked by us. Apart from the production companies, only us and you have access to your personal data.
No, signing up at In The Picture is free and will always be free!
Absolutely not. Both as an Actor or (Featured) Extra, the choice is entirely up to you to sign up for the job that you would like to do. On our website, you will only find the available jobs that you qualify for. Then it’s up to you to whether or not you apply for the jobs.
As an Actor, you are required to have the necessary proven experience or have studies at an accredited theater/drama institute. You can, however, also register as a Featured Extra in order to get the necessary experience, as to get started. Experience for Extras is not at all necessary: on the set, everything will be explained very clearly by the supervisor.
No, In The Picture isn’t a casting agency, as we don’t manage any of the jobs ourselves. In The Picture is an online platform for on the one hand, Actors, (Featured) Extras, Candidates and Audiences and, on the other hand, the production companies or casting agencies. The organisations themselves work with In The Picture and manage their own job offers.
As an Extra, your age does not matter: young, old, thin, thick, small or large, everyone can do it! As an Actor, experience and/or training is required and the minimum age is 18 years.
As an Actor, you are paid for every job, as it is your profession. For Extras, it depends on the type of production, your age and many other factors. It is therefore generally an expense allowance, but its size depends strongly on the nature of the production.
It often happens that you accidentally block an e-mail address from someone at Hotmail/Live Mail. This can, however, be solved by going to the website of Hotmail/Live Mail, log in to it and then select 'Options' > 'More options' at the top right of the website. Next you click the link 'Safe and blocked senders' under the tile 'Preventing junk e-mail'.
Then select 'Blocked senders' to open the blocked senders list. Now search the list on the right side for all the @inthepicture.com e-mail addresses. Removing these e-mail addresses from the list is done by selecting them and then clicking on the '<< Remove from list' button.
There could be several reasons, but the most common error is that your e-mail address is typed wrong, as we daily see mistyped e-mail addresses. It is therefore important that you carefully type your e-mail address when filling out your information.
This is not possible, because we use the e-mail address as your unique identifier. Each e-mail address in the world is in fact unique and ensures that if you have the same name as someone else, we do know it's you.
You can easily create an e-mail address via www.hotmail.com or www.gmail.com and if you have a Hotmail account, you can simply create an alias for your e-mail address. For Hotmail, you can do this by visiting this page
No, one number is sufficient. However, we must have at least 1 number, so that if, at the last minute, something changes, the production can easily contact you with a call or via SMS.
Not all information is mandatory, but most of it is. This way, production companies can easily contact you and see if you’re the right person they're looking for.
Your clothing size, shoe size, and so on are required, since productions may provide styling. It is therefore important that you have correctly entered the information on your profile, so that the production immediately has the necessary information.
This data is useful for the production as an indication of whether or not you have work or are studying and thus know when you might be available. Furthermore, for jobs such as policeman, fireman,..., the production team likes to contact people who actually do this in real life.
First, ensure that your images are no larger than 40MB and that they are in one of the following formats jpg, gif or png. If there still is a problem, make sure that you upload your picture the proper way: select the first picture, then click the 'Upload' button and wait until the picture on the left appears. Now repeat this with the second picture and then press the 'Finish' button (with larger images, it can sometimes take a while before they will appear on the left).
In the top right corner of the website, you can login with your e-mail address and your password you chose when signing up. Once you get logged in to the website, you can see all the available jobs. If you want to remain logged in you should check the 'Remember me' checkbox.
If you are unable to log in to your In The Picture account, make sure you’re using the correct e-mail address and password combination. Furthermore, check if you actually have an In The Picture profile. If this isn't the case, you can create one via this page.
No problem, you can simply request a new password via this page.
If you are sure you typed your e-mail address correctly and you do own a profile at In The Picture, check the 'Junk/Spam' folder of your e-mail account.
If you can’t find the e-mail in your 'Junk/Spam' folder and you’re using a Hotmail/Live e-mail address, check this part of the FAQ.
If none of the solutions above seems to work, contact us via this page.
New passwords are generated automatically and always work. Make sure that when entering the new password, you don’t copy it form the e-mail, but type it manually.
While copying, you may accidentally copy an extra space, which results in an error. Furthermore, make sure that you correctly type all the characters in upper- or lowercase.
Each time you sign into the website, you’ll automatically see the 'Home' page, where you’ll find 'New messages', 'New jobs', 'My jobs' and 'Friendship requests'.
The order of these windows changes, depending on the importance of the content. You can now take a look at 'New jobs': with some luck, you’ll already have some jobs waiting for you. By clicking on a job, you’ll get all the information related to it and, if interested, you can apply for it.
Once applied for a job, it will be shown at 'My jobs' with the status 'Preselection'. This means you have applied, but that the production hasn’t yet selected you to actually do the job.
Once the status states 'Booked' appears, you have been selected for the job and you are expected on the set. Additional information will be communicated to you with a message, an e-mail or a phone call from the production team.
You can edit your profile information by going to the 'Profile' page. There you’ll find the green button 'Edit' which you click to edit your information.
In The Picture uses an internal messaging system which replaces e-mail. Use it to contact one of the production companies or In The Picture itself. To send a message, click on 'New message' in the upper right corner. Choose in the field 'To', to which company you wish to send your message.
When you have a question about a certain job, make sure that your message is actually sent to the actual production and not to In The Picture. As we are only the software provider, we can only answer questions related to the website and not about the productions/companies who use it.
Adding friends benefits you as you can see for which jobs they have applied. If you wish, apply for the same jobs and join them on the set!
You only need to know your friend’s e-mail address to add him/her as a friend. Enter this address in the field below 'Add'.
